Looking back on our trip to Costa Rica, we found that we had so many photos we wanted to share that captured the pure beauty of the country. We hope that these photos will make you want to visit Costa Rica, inspire further wanderlust, and encourage you to travel more.

Although we weren’t able to see the whole country in a week, we tried to hit the highlights of Costa Rica: the beach, the rain forest, and the city. It was a quick 7 days in Costa Rica, but we were incredibly happy with our time there and saw almost everything we wanted to. However, we still left the country wanting more.

Costa Rica is a beautiful country with tons of wildlife and nature. There are things to do for everyone. You can do a lot  of adventure activities from zip-lining to canyoneering or a more relaxing one like thermal spas heated by volcanoes, relaxing on the beach, and nature hikes. It’s a country we’d recommend visiting, especially if you want to visit a Central American country but are nervous about not knowing Spanish as English is widely spoken there.

Costa Rica was a new country for both of us. We ended up deciding on Costa Rica because we wanted to go to travel internationally after our West coast trip earlier in the summer to Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and LA. With the help of our Southwest Airlines Companion Pass (hello, buy one, get one free plane tickets), we were able to get to Costa Rica for a reasonable cost, and Costa Rica is one of the international destinations Southwest flies to.
